It's packed with millions of destinations and maps for the contiguous regional sections of Europe. Like the rest of the sleek nüvi 2x5-series, the 205W is priced right and ultra-easy to use.
The nuvi 2x5 series features a fast 333 Mhz Microprocessor which greatly enhances the map drawing and routing capability. In addition, satellite reception is even faster than before thanks to Garmin new HotFix(TM: 105.09, -3.99, -3.65%) feature which automatically calculates and stores critical satellite information and can use that information to quickly calculate a position without waiting for data collection from the satellites.
nüvi 205W comes preloaded with City Navigator NT map data for the UK and Ireland. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and nüvi takes you there with turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and smooth map updates as you navigate. Its digital elevation maps show you shaded contours at higher zoom levels, giving you a big picture of the surrounding terrain. In addition, nüvi 205W accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. With HotFix satellite prediction, nüvi calculates your position faster to get you there quicker.
Navigation is just the beginning. nüvi 205W includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones and currency converter.
