5 out of 5 stars HP hits the spot   May 22, 2010

This is a neat little netbook which does what it says on the tin with ease and some style. I mulled over for some time the different netbooks but in the end chose the HP as it seemed to offer all I needed for a sensible price. The extended batteries raise the back a couple of cm but this gives great battery life and has not been a problem for me. If you want something to browse the net at leisure and take with you on your travels then this will not disappoint.

5 out of 5 stars HP Mini 110   May 19, 2010

Great product. Looks the dogs.
Got a lot of adverse web chat about the look of this notebook with the 6 cell battery, but I do honestly beleive that some people have too much time on their hands to worry about "style over substance" issues , get a life and get on with it.
My only criticism is that as usual the manufacturers put too much stuff on the machine. I would have preferred Windows 7 and some web protection , then be left to sort the machines look and content for myself
I would recommend this netbook to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars What a bargain!   May 15, 2010

I bought this as a replacement netbook when I saw the spec and the price. I can't fault it.

I'm a Microsoft (MCTIP) and VMware (VCP 3 and 4) Technical Specialist (boo) and have been using laptop and notebook hardware for a long time. The old adage, that 'no one got sacked for buying HP' stands true. Great spec, solid performance, lean 7 OS, and it looks great too.

The only gripe I might put forward is the slightly disappointing speaker quality which is quite 'tinny' compared to Samsung and DELL counterparts. However, I feel that the price for performance is too much `bang for buck' (cringe) to ignore and frankly surpasses other manufacturer offerings.

Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars GREAT LITTLE MACHINE   May 9, 2010

I bought this after careful comparisons with other netbooks at a much higher price, and after tying a later model in a store. I liked the keyboard which is on a slant towards the user as the battery protrudes from underneath, which other reviewers criticsed but I quite like. The cursor is very sensitive and the screen a tad small for typing long letters etc but fine for surfing the net or checking emails on the move, which is why i bought it(easier than on a mobile phone!) Its very light to transport and the battery life is fantastic, a good 6 hours goes by before a charge is needed. I had one small problem, which was my own fault but the Hp support by email was superb, and quickly rectified.Overall I am very satisfied and its a great little machine for the price.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant Netbook   May 6, 2010
Anastasia (Suffolk, England)
Both my holiday destinations this year offered free wireless access, but my laptop weighed five kilos with the charger, case etc., so I decided to look at Netbooks. The reviews were very good for the HP Mini 110-1115SA Black Swirl, and the price was good too. So I decided to take the plunge.

I now use it in preference to my Laptop and PC! It is almost like two computers in one because you have two screens. One gives instant wireless access to the internet, the other uses Windows 7. It is so light, weighing 1.2 kilos (including the charger and battery). The battery really does give six hours between charges, and is so cleverly designed that when you insert it into the notebook it gives you the perfect angle for viewing the screen.
