As a student I print out lots of education material, this printer is economical and provide good quality. It didn't cause any problems. Just changing the cartridge wasn't the easiest thing to do (it's not clearly explained in the manual) but I finally find it out:). Also, it's quite massive, thus not easy to move.

I previously had a Minolta laser printer which became obsolete when I upgraded my computer, hence the purchase of this one. I chose this printer because it was under £100, compact enough to sit on my desk and also because I don't really print out anything exciting (only documents). I'm not a techno-junkie, so I didn't really feel like I needed a top of the range, all action printer.
It arrived the next day (well done, Rymans!) and was easy to set up - took about 2 minutes to get it out of the box and hooked up to the computer (although it doesn't come with a USB2.0 cable). Installation was quick and within about 10 minutes of receiving the printer, it was up and running. The instruction booklet was for the HL2035 model, but HL2037 was cheaper!
There is a loud humming noise as the printer kicks into action and various lights flash. The quality is good, even though I'm using the lowest setting. So far I've been really impressed with the quality of this printer - I can't really fault it!

the printer is incredibly fast and produces very good quality printouts. it is very cheap to run with replacement compatible 2500 page toner cardridges at roughly £40. installation was quick and simple and windows 7 runs this printer fine. the 1000 page starter toner that came with this printer actually printed 1342 pages for me!!!

bought this to replace a samsung that had stopped picking up the paper.This Brother is a fairly basic printer but it does everything i want to. I,ve had it for over a month of troublefree printing.It is a very reliable black & white printer.

This printer is easy to instal and use and I'm told it's economic. It's slow to warm up and it's noisy when operating, but I can live with that for the price!
