4 out of 5 stars Apple Macbook Pro 13 inch   May 14, 2010
Dr. P. R. Hill
Nice machine, good to look at and easy to use. Very powerful and able to bring items up quickly that my ageing PC struggled with. I bought the machine for someone else but enjoyed setting it up.

2 Downsides. I found the screen a bit small although items being worked on could be enlarged. More difficult is the fact the battery is not removable and so if it is being used all the time the battery is constantly being charged and discharged. Sometimes when I left the desk the battery did not have much juice left.

Will I get one? yes probably but it is not the pushover I expected because of the issues mentioned above.

5 out of 5 stars Its a Mac What else?   May 3, 2010

I heard rumours of the MacBook pro upgrade so waited and sure enough the prices fell. Got a MacBook pro case and i Pod Classic in black and a couple of pints of Stella at my local hostillery, for the price of a "New & Improved" 2010 pro, (used new one & cant tell the difference). What can I say ...It's a Mac? Does what it says it will do. Fantastic user interface, fast and intuitive, as you would expect. Fantastic design with its glass screen and what can I say about the aluminium body, just watch the construction of the pro body video on apples website. It makes you giddy. (Yes I used to work in engineering). People still think Macs are expensive compared to Pc laptops. Yes they are a premium product but well worth the extra cost because they just work. Why have a Toyota, when you can have a Bentley. You know what I mean.

5 out of 5 stars Best laptop ive had by far!   May 2, 2010

Out of all the laptops ive had, this one is the best. Allways had windows so this is my first time using a apple mac. Love it! Once you get one you will never want to go back to windows again. Also very easy to use, espec with the tutorials you get at the beginning when opening programs.

5 out of 5 stars I'm converted to Mac   April 23, 2010

This is the first ever Mac I bought. Have not had it for long, so things might come up in the future. My initial view is "loving it". The transition from PC to Mac was seamless. This is all due to the great functionality and intuitive software on the Mac. I can recommend all PC user to switch.

5 out of 5 stars Freakin Awesome Macbook Pro 13   April 21, 2010

Bloody brilliant! Why i even bothered with PC's i don't know. Apple Mac's just work. An ace OS makes doing tasks on a MBP simple and without challenge. The MBP is as good to use as it looks. The screen is sharp and dynamic, the spec is more than adequate (am running Logic Studio with no problems), i can run numerous applications with ease and the NVIDIA graphics run fast. The trackpad is smooth and precise, whilst the backlit keyboard gives off a crystal glow for those times when the light has diminished. If there is one gripe it has to be the 'claimed' 7 hour battery life, not sure if it lives up to this and also the fact that you cannot replace it yourself. All in all though I have been using this MBP for over a month now and without doubt it's the best computer i've had yet!
