This printer combo outperforms the much more expensive equivalent (costing thousands) at my office, with the addition of an easy to use inbuilt fax machine. I can highly recommend it.

I bought this printer mainly for the fax and copy use. It works OK but is not the best of printers, but it was not a lot of money either. As is always the case, you get what you pay for.

the first few day were ok with this machine but then i tried to plug in the fax. it dosent work and the connnector is the wrong type for digital phone lines. So the extra money i spent for the fax was completly wasted.
then after 3 months the paper started to jam continually, when i just wanted to print 2 sheets it would gooble up 10 sheets and jam. Then it takes another 10 mins unjamming and then realiniing the print heads and the cleaning the print heads. This whole process uses up lots of ink and the cartridges cost at lot to replace.
Tried to contact epson and they just refer you to their website which doesnt provide any help at all.
I have now bought a sepereate fax machine and i am still trying to get epson to fix this printer.

This would be a great printer/fax/scanner, if only the ink management worked. The print quality is good, the speed is acceptable and the scanner quality is excellent. However, even using original genuine Epson ink cartridges leads to an eternity of trying to persuade the printer that it has a genuine Epson cartridge. Without this it won't print. So, you're left with a rather expensive paperweight.
this printer does every thing it says it does and it does not cost a fortune for the inks like most. would recommend, July 19, 2010

we were recommended this printer by a friend and have not been disapointed. the inks do not cost a fortune like most other printers, its quick and efficient. would recommend. x
